‎The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, has congratulated former Governor of the state, Senator Liyel Imoke, on his 65th birthday, describing him as an accomplished statesman whose years of public service left an enduring impact on the political and developmental landscape of Cross River.

‎In a goodwill message marking the occasion, Ironbar said Imoke’s 65th birthday offers Cross Riverians an opportunity to celebrate a leader whose commitment to service, institutional development and people centred governance continues to inspire successive generations of public office holders.

‎According to the Chief of Staff, Imoke’s distinguished career, spanning his election into the Senate at a youthful age, his service in the Federal Executive Council and his tenure as governor, reflects dedication, patriotism and an unwavering commitment to advancing the common good.

‎”His Excellency, Senator Liyel Imoke belongs to that distinguished class of leaders whose contributions transcend the tenure of office. His commitment to building institutions, expanding opportunities for the people and strengthening the foundations of governance remains a defining feature of his public life,” Ironbar stated.

‎He particularly commended the former governor’s commitment to rural development, noting that Imoke consistently demonstrated that governance should be measured by its impact on the most vulnerable and underserved members of society.

‎Ironbar said Imoke remained a strong advocate of grassroots development, adding that his administration expanded access to primary healthcare services, opened up rural communities through strategic road infrastructure and implemented policies aimed at bringing essential public services closer to the people.

‎”Those interventions reflected a deep understanding that development must be inclusive and must reach every corner of the state,” he said.

‎The Chief of Staff observed that many initiatives introduced during the Imoke administration continue to testify to the value of visionary leadership anchored on compassion, equity and sustainable development.

‎He added that the former governor’s emphasis on rural inclusion remains an example for leaders committed to improving the welfare of ordinary citizens.

‎Ironbar further prayed for renewed strength and fulfilment for the former governor, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience and statesmanship would continue to enrich public discourse and contribute to the progress of Cross River and Nigeria.

‎”As you celebrate your 65th birthday, I join your family, friends, associates and countless well wishers in thanking Almighty God for a life of impactful service and remarkable accomplishments,” he stated.
