The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced that 11 of its academic programmes have received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) and relevant professional regulatory bodies.
The institution made this known in a statement released on its official website on Monday, describing the outcome of the 2025 accreditation exercise as a 100 per cent success.
UNILAG said the approval reflects its continued commitment to maintaining high academic standards, promoting quality education, advancing research and preparing students for professional careers.
According to the university, the accreditation serves as confirmation to students, parents, employers and other stakeholders that its programmes meet recognised standards and remain globally competitive.
The accredited programmes include Accounting, Taxation, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, German and Linguistics.
Other programmes that received full accreditation are Home Economics, Library and Information Science, Special Needs Education, Petroleum and Gas Engineering, and Economics and Development Studies.
The university stated that the accreditation status will remain valid for five years, covering the period up to 2030.
It explained that accreditation evaluates important areas such as curriculum standards, teaching quality, available learning facilities, governance structures and overall institutional effectiveness.
UNILAG attributed the achievement to the commitment of its academic and administrative staff, noting that the milestone further strengthens its drive for excellence, innovation and global recognition.
The institution reaffirmed its determination to continue producing competitive graduates through effective teaching, research and meaningful engagement with society.
