The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Saidu Yahaya, has resigned amidst pressure from the state government.

Yahaya resigned on Tuesday amidst complaint about his alleged low performance.

The anti-graft chairman resigned just over a year on the job out of his five-year statutory tenure. He was been appointed in August 2025 to replace Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had publicly criticised the PCCC chairman over alleged non-performance.
