‎‎According to him, the State Police Bill was read on the floor of the House during a recent plenary session, during which members were given the opportunity to begin proper legislative consideration of the Bill in accordance with due process.

‎“It is anticipated that after members have completed their individual review, the Bill will be scheduled for second reading on 12th October, 2026, for further deliberation and approval by the entire House.”

‎‎Speaking on the development, Mr Isma’il-Falgore, reiterated that Kano State was fully committed and prepared to confront security challenges head-on.

‎‎He stressed that while Kano remained relatively peaceful compared to many other states in the country, proactive legislation was crucial to sustaining and strengthening the state’s security architecture.
