‎A High Court in Sokoto State has handed down death sentences to three men, including a citizen of Niger Republic, after finding them guilty of terrorism-related offences and illegal arms trafficking.

‎The convicts — Yusuf Muhammad, popularly known as Sallau, Jabbi Alhaji Yalle, and Kabiru Muhammad — were prosecuted following their arrest by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) Counter-Terrorism Unit on June 13, 2025.

‎According to the prosecution, the suspects were involved in terrorism activities, cross-border criminal operations, and the proliferation of weapons.

‎Delivering judgment, Justice Bello convicted the three defendants on all charges and ordered that they be executed by hanging.

‎The court also directed that all funds and assets linked to the crimes and recovered during investigations be forfeited to the Federal Government.
