NCC Seeks Input from Telecom Stakeholders on National Policy Review

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced its intention to carry out review of the National Telecommunications Policy 2000 and invited industry stakeholders and members of the public to submit written contributions.

The NCC said, the development was in line with its statutory responsibilities under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003, following the activation of Section 24(1) of the Act, which provides for consultative processes in policy review.

As part of the exercise, the NCC has published a Consultation Paper on its website to guide stakeholders in making informed submissions on the proposed review of the policy framework governing the telecommunications sector.

According to the Commission, all interested parties are expected to forward their written submissions on or before Friday, March 20, 2026.

The submissions are to be addressed to the Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission, Plot 423, Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja, attention: Director, Policy, Competition and Economic Analysis.

The review is expected to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to the shaping of a more responsive and forward-looking telecommunications policy for Nigeria
