A classical music concert featuring young Russian musicians took place on March 20 in Abuja as part of the Rising Stars project. The event, held at a venue in the Nigerian capital, showcased the talents of students from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory: M. Modeme (soprano), M. Sokolova (flute), and E. Saakian (piano).
The performance drew over 150 guests, who were greeted by the Russian Ambassador, A.L. Podelyshev. In his opening remarks, the ambassador highlighted the unifying power of music, stating that it serves to strengthen trust and mutual understanding between peoples.
The evening’s program featured a selection of works from the golden fund of world musical culture, including compositions by S.V. Rachmaninov, P.I. Tchaikovsky, I.M. Luchenka, and N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov.
Attendees experienced the concert in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, leaving with vivid impressions of the artists’ high level of skill.
