The Retired IGP Adamu 2027 Movement commends the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, for its decisive reforms aimed at strengthening internal democracy and protecting the rights of party members.
The recent directive prohibiting the forced stamping of membership cards is a welcome step. With the full adoption of the e-registration system, manual stamping has become obsolete and a potential tool for exclusion and manipulation.
The National Working Committee’s directive that party primaries must be free, fair, peaceful, and transparent, alongside strict disciplinary measures for violators, further demonstrates the APC’s commitment to credible internal processes ahead of the 2026 elections.
This development confirms that sovereignty within the party resides with registered members, not a few political actors. It strengthens confidence and promotes wider participation in party activities.
The APC leadership in Nasarawa State under Dr. Aliyu Bello is urged to fully comply with the national directive to ensure unity, fairness, and internal cohesion. Any deviation risks undermining party stability.
The Movement also calls on all APC structures in Nasarawa State to ensure equal opportunity for all aspirants and members, as internal democracy remains key to electoral success.
Retired IGP Adamu calls for total participation of members in the party primaries scheduled for 16 May 2026 and subsequent processes, urging members to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and committed to a new political direction in 2027.
