Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has carried out a cabinet reshuffle that has resulted in the removal of all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Principal Private Secretary.
The decision was disclosed on Monday in a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Agboola, who described the exercise as a minor reorganisation of the administration.
According to the statement, the restructuring is aimed at creating opportunities for more members of the ruling party to contribute to governance while injecting fresh ideas into the administration.
The governor thanked the affected officials for their dedication and contributions to the development of Kwara State during their time in office. He also wished them success in their future endeavours.
As part of the transition process, the affected appointees have been instructed to return all government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The reshuffle is part of the AbdulRazaq administration’s broader effort to reconstitute sections of the government and expand participation within its leadership.
