‎The governor said the nominees are subject to confirmation by the Niger State House of Assembly.

‎A statement on Monday by Abubakar Kuta, spokesman for the Secretary to the State Government, said Mr Bago also appointed political advisers.

‎The commissioners-designate are Lucky Barau of Gurara Local Government Area; Isah Wakili of Bosso LGA; Isah Adamu of Kontagora LGA; Emmanuel Alamu of Magama LGA; Shuaibu Saidu Kaboji of Mashegu LGA and Mohammed Danladi Garba of Borgu LGA.

‎Other political advisers appointed include Nma Kolo as chief political adviser, while Yahaya Emilugi, Yusuf Tagwai and Salman Yusuf were appointed special advisers on political matters for Zones A, B and C, respectively.

‎Mr Kuta said the appointments were part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery and ensure broader representation across the state.

‎“The governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to apply their experience and commitment to the development of Niger State,” he said.

‎He added that the commissioners-designate are expected to appear before the House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in line with the law.
