Atiku Appoints Aliyu Bello, Victor Moses as Community Engagement Aides‎

Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has “appointed Alhaji Aliyu Bello as Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement and Dr. Victor Moses as Special Assistant on Community Engagement.”

‎The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the Atiku Media Office in Abuja on Wednesday, saying “the move is aimed at strengthening the former vice president’s grassroots engagement and community outreach efforts.”

‎According to the statement, “Aliyu Bello brings extensive experience spanning journalism, entrepreneurship, international trade and grassroots politics to his new role.”

‎The statement noted that “Bello holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication as well as professional certifications in Leadership and Business Management.”

‎It added that “he had served two terms as Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kaduna State, where he championed youth participation in politics, before becoming the party’s Financial Secretary in the state. He recently joined the African Democratic Congress.”

‎It said “Bello’s background in media, business, politics and community engagement would enhance efforts to deepen youth participation and strengthen grassroots networks.”

‎The statement also described “Dr. Victor Moses as a scholar, public affairs strategist and entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in strategic communication, political mobilisation, behavioural research and community engagement.”

‎According to the statement, “Moses holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has served as National Publicity Secretary of the Atiku Support Organisation (ASO) since 2021, where he played a leading role in stakeholder engagement and grassroots mobilisation across the country.”

‎Congratulating the two appointees, “Atiku expressed confidence in their ability to contribute to the realisation of his political vision and wished them success in their new assignments.”

‎The appointments “take immediate effect, according to the statement signed by the Atiku Media Office and dated July 8, 2026.”
