A Bayelsa State High Court has sentenced three persons to two years’ imprisonment each for conspiracy, recruitment and attempted human trafficking for sexual exploitation.
The convicts include Tonkumor Ebipadere, 21; Godknows Samuel, 27 and Godknows Winner, 19. They were sentenced by Justice Doris O. Adokeme of High Court 3 on Thursday.
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) disclosed this on Thursday in a statement, saying the defendants pleaded guilty to all three charges upon their arraignment on October 28.
“The defendants, who pleaded guilty to all three counts upon arraignment on 28 October 2026, were each sentenced to two years’ imprisonment on Counts 1, 2, and 3,” it said.
