The UK government is ending British Summer Time popularly called Daylight Saving Time and reversing the clock by one hour on Sunday October 25, marking an end to the British summer.

‎‎The move follows an habitual bi-annual change of the clock to ensure Brits maximise the daylight for productivity.

‎‎Every last Sunday in October, the hand of the clock goes back an hour. This year, the government will do it by 2:00 BST when the majority of Brits are asleep to minimise disruptions in their daily activities.

‎‎Citizens will gain an extra one hour of sleep on Sunday as they prepare to resume the work the next day.

‎‎But those on night shift duty will work an extra hour to make up for the time change.

‎‎The clock will be changed again on the last Sunday in March 2027.

‎‎Digital clocks will automatically update to reflect the new time while analogue and wall clocks will have to be manually updated.

‎‎The majority of European nations will also adopt the change at the same time as the UK. In Africa, Egypt will end Daylight Saving Time on October 30.
