A Catholic priest, Sandro Ferretto, who served in Baringo County for 12 years, has quit the priesthood and married a Kenyan woman, Sharon Jepng’ok.
Mr Ferretto tied the knot with Ms Jepng’ok on September 6, The Kenyan Times reported.
“The wedding took place at Seretion Village, Kasiela, where Ferretto once served as parish priest,” the report stated.
It added, “The couple held a Koito ceremony, the Kalenjin customary rite for dowry negotiation and family blessing.”
A video of Mr Ferretto, 55, dancing with his wife at their wedding ceremony has gone viral on social media.
According to reports, Mr Ferretto resigned from the priesthood in 2023. However, he returned to Kenya to marry his lover.
