Merely weeks after joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu, popularly known as Davematics, has tendered his resignation from the ruling party.
Ombugadu, a former gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, confirmed his resignation from the ruling party on Tuesday.
This development follows allegations raised by a group concerning a plot to thwart his gubernatorial ambitions.
The group also alleged that the party’s recent electronic membership registration was marred by malpractice, ostensibly designed to favor a specific aspirant chosen to succeed Governor Abdullahi Sule in 2027.
He joined the ruling party recently following his resignation from the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, over the lingering leadership crisis bedeviling the party.
