United States President Donald Trump has offered assistance to Venezuela after two powerful earthquakes struck the South American nation, leaving dozens dead and hundreds injured.

‎In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform late Wednesday, Trump expressed sympathy for those affected by the disaster and assured that the United States was prepared to provide support.

‎According to him, the twin earthquakes caused significant destruction and loss of life, prompting the U.S. government to begin preparations for a possible emergency response.

‎”The United States is ready to assist,” Trump said, adding that federal agencies had been directed to stand by and respond swiftly if needed.

‎The offer came as Venezuelan authorities continued rescue and recovery operations following the disaster.

‎Officials confirmed that at least 32 people were killed while more than 700 others sustained injuries after the powerful tremors struck several parts of the country. The earthquakes triggered the collapse of buildings, damaged infrastructure, and forced residents to flee their homes in panic.

‎Emergency workers remain on the ground searching for survivors as authorities assess the full extent of the damage.

‎The disaster has drawn international attention, with governments and humanitarian organisations monitoring developments and expressing solidarity with the Venezuelan people.
