Igho Ubiribo, a British-Nigerian influencer and friend of Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, died from complications following penis enlargement surgery in Thailand.
Coroner Jean Harkin ruled that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the penis enlargement procedure he underwent while on holiday in Thailand.
UK pathologist John du Parcq, in his report, stated that cellular material found in Ubiribo’s lungs matched the hyaluronic acid used in the penis filler injection, which was consistent with a pulmonary embolism. The finding also matched the results of the Thai autopsy.
The inquest further heard that Ubiribo was injected with about 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at a Thai clinic in March.
Ubiribo, 43, was on holiday with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, when he underwent the procedure, which later resulted in fatal complications.
After the procedure, Ubiribo was receiving a massage when he complained of chest pain and lost consciousness twice. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.
He was buried in London in May. His friends and associates, including Davido and celebrity barman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, attended his funeral.
