The Ghanaian Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) has paid a condolence visit to Thomas Frimpong, the father of 15-year-old Ghanaian boy Javits Frimpong, shot dead by his alleged bullies while on his way to school in New York, United States of America.
It had earlier been reported that the incident happened at the Crotona Park, East 171st Street in the Bronx, New York on Thursday morning and when police arrived at the scene and took the victim to the hospital, he didn’t survive.
In a statement on Friday, the Ghana UN Mission said a delegation comprising Deputy Permanent Representative Ben Dotsei Malor, Consul General Anthony El-Adas and Vice Consul-General Mawuli Klu visited Mr Frimpong to condole with him.

“While condemning the killing, the Government of Ghana urges the relevant authorities in the Bronx, New York, to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
