WAFU-U17: Flamingos Players Arrive in Côte d’Ivoire

‎Nigeria’s female U-17 team, the Flamingos, have arrived in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, en route to Yamoussoukro for the 2nd WAFU-B U-17 girls’ tournament.

‎Coach Hakeem Busari led the team from Abuja on Monday morning with a squad of 20 players to compete in the tournament in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

‎The girls will face Niger Republic in their opening game on Wednesday before playing the Princesses of Ghana on Saturday.

‎The tournament is a key preparatory competition for the girls ahead of the U-17 World Cup finals in Morocco from October 17 to November 8, where the Flamingos are in Group B with North Korea, Puerto Rico, and Poland.
